Perfection
Alice in Labyrinth "Alice" head with Cristy
Stone faceup. Her name is Isabel and she's the newest kid on the block,
arrived earlier this week. Currently sharing a body with Sophie.
By the way that Dollga wig is spectacular!

Five months later...
My doll buying activities have slowed down quite
a bit, so I only have two newbies to report: gorgeous FDQ limited Volks
Masha and adorable Lati Yellow HK elf Lea. Volks Mirai, Volks MSD F-13 and
Pingping are history.
Here is Masha (Ruby) with her gorgeous faceup by
Englemech - finally somebody who doesn't look possessed in Afghan eyes!

Isn't she stunning? Here's another one:

and little HK elf Lea (Violet, of course :))...
I'm on another Lati kick and have basic Lumi on order as well.

5-21-08:
Revolving Door I got lazy and neglected to update this journal
for over 2 months so
I'm a little confused about who came and who went, but I'll take a stab at
it:
Out: CH Bisou Ai Bonbon, CH Unique Knight
of Queen Yuna (Cebee) and Bambicrony Misty Blue Elf Pepe fullset. Must
note that I was pleasantly surprised by how much the Elf had appreciated
in value ;) Can't remember who and what else I sold - err.
In: Castleanne One Off "She Love
NY". Beautiful girl I always had my eye on. There's only one so I got
extra lucky when she came up for sale on DoA. Her name is Cassie.

CH Bisou Ai basic Uu. Bonbon was my least
favorite sculpt so I let her go. Something about the eyes being too far
apart. Chubby cheeked, pouty Uu (below in red & black) has taken her place
in the Bisou parade.

Latidoll grownup ver Pury. Major impulse buy on
eBay. Not much else to say other than she's really stunning for a squat
tiny :) I may angle for a white line sp Pury some day. She's the big girl
in the middle.

Volks MSD F-13 cat girl. I think I mentioned her
in March. Got her on Y!J and named her Amanda. She's a pretty doll but the
jury's still out on her because we haven't yet bonded. Some new eyes could
do it... As you can see she's currently buddied up with antique-y Ivy.

Souldoll Soul Sweet Ponette. Saw her when she
was introduced and HAD to have her. Fortunately there were funds in my
Paypal account - a rare state ;) I've named her Fleur.

3-16-08:
The ants go marching two by two... My two Latis arrived and I
was a bit disappointed to find I could only bond with the little one, Lily
(Pepper). Yellow line Cookie is stunning but always seems on the verge of
tears and I get a lump in my throat when I look at her. The poor child
seems so dejected!

Fortunately I had no trouble selling her.
On the other hand, White line Lily is a joy to
behold. Eeeeee! She looks perpetually surprised :)
I like the larger special body size because
it's more in proportion with the head. She and Olive are about the same
size and they make the cutest pair, happily sharing their teeny wigs, clothes and
shoes.
In addition to the sale of Cookie, I also
offloaded two more: Dulce (Dollga Noella) and Pela (CH Fairy Ai Hanael).
No reason to go into the gory details of it...just needed
money.
So...I paid bills and bought two more! (This is
definitely a month full of twos...hope it isn't bad luck!)
First up - Volks Mini Dollfie Dream Mirai. Until
recently I haven't been even faintly interested in the vinyl DD dolls, but
I saw some owner pix of MDD Mirai on DoA and funny stuff started happening
in my head. Uh oh! I ordered the last one (she's a Dolpa 18 limited) from
We Love Dolls and she arrived yesterday. We named her Jamie. I love her
poseability and sweet anime face. Of course the very first thing I did was
take Jamie apart to see how she's constructed. Had a bad moment when I
almost couldn't get her foot back on! I'm a DD noob.
Here it's like she's
saying "Look ma, no doll stand!!!" She's light and has screws
and funny joints and a soft head but I find her delightful in all the
important ways :)

The second doll is on her way (hopefully). I
nabbed a Volks MSD F-13 (with kitty ears!) on Y!J for a very reasonable
price. Very much looking forward to her arrival.
2-9-08:
Mrarrr!! While awaiting my Latis I discovered another tiny
creature who
captured my heart with an itty bitty face and cutie kitty parts. She's a pukipuki pipi, the tinies with the magnetic limbs. She arrived a couple
days ago and I haven't been able to put her down since! After amusing
myself by seeing what she'll stick to (fridge, toaster) I got down to
business and painted her pukisha parts. All together now "Awwwwwwwwwwwwwww!!"
Olive with human parts:

Trying on her unfinished pukisha parts:

Olive the kitty's colors emerge :)

I didn't order the transformation face because
it looks partially human and gives me the creeps. That said I appreciate
the artistry of some of the beautiful transformation faceups I've
seen. Nothing against mythical creatures mind you (fairies and elves
rock!) but hybrid human/animal mixes really aren't my thing. I like that
it looks like Olive is wearing a costume when she dons her pukisha parts.
1-11-08:
Sea sprite in the house Introducing Pela, CH Fairy Ai Whisper of
Water Hanael. Second only to those gorgeous depthless blue eyes, I think
the clever mermaid ears are my favorite. They rest on her human ears and
latch through a slot between the headcap and the head - the fit is
perfect. Alchemic Labo thought of it first but the fit of Unoa cat ears,
horns etc isn't nearly as secure.
I changed her wig to a lavender one in these
photos. It matches her gown and eyelashes and I prefer it to her default
which is too thick and hard to tuck around the ears. The wings are
beautiful but the magnetic seal isn't as strong as it could be so they can
knock off easily. Have to admit I tried out Azul's Bambicrony insect wings
hoping she can borrow them but unfortunately one of Pela's magnets is
reverse polarity so only one Bambicrony wing will stay affixed. Darn!

Following is an official CH Pic with default wig
- what a stunner!

Hold on, I wonder if one of Pela's magnets is on
backwards...? That could explain why the wings don't hold firmly. I'll
have to check that out. They are visible on her back so I could dig one
out, flip it and re-glue if that's the case.
Lati babies
Cookie and Lily are ordered and will hopefully ship at the end this month.
I'd love to win one of those adorable Pury sleeping angels as well (there
are 50 of them!) but I'm trying not to think about it too much. They said
winners will be notified mid-January.
